Our purpose and mission are to provide high-quality analysis at a time when we are faced with a multitude of crises, a collapsing global economy, imperialist wars, environmental disasters, corporate greed, terrorism, deceit, GMO food, a migration crisis and a crackdown on small farmers and ranchers. We are in a desperate need of truth and of hard-cutting analysis, especially now, when we are being betrayed by our elected representatives and the corporate media.

We seek to ask the tough questions that the mainstream media is covering up. We seek to provide critical analysis on multiple issues. We are here to use our brains and be informed.

Our goal is not to delude ourselves but to be critical citizens and thoughtful humans.

In the hard times, we live in, to be naive is a crime. “Make yourself sheep and the wolves will eat you,” said Benjamin Franklin. We can no longer afford to delude ourselves into wishful thinking and bury our heads in the sand. We are worried about our countries, our nations, our societies and our families. We are worried about the sovereignty of nations that are constantly being violated. We are concerned about the future of our world.

Those who get offended easily and refuse to challenge themselves should read the New York Times or other newspapers that provide a blurry and distorted version of what is taking place on the ground. We are here to expose, to understand, to inform and to be educated.

“Wise men will apply their remedies to vices, not to names,” wrote Edmund Burke.

Knowledge is a prerequisite to action. And without knowledge, there can be no freedom.

“Liberty is the right of every man, to be honest, to think and to speak without hypocrisy,” wrote José Martí.

Global Independent Analytics welcomes unique and original contributions on the following topics: the European Union, the IMF, NATO, civil liberties, Constitutional rights, the Middle East, Globalization, terrorism, wars, the migration crisis in Europe, anti-hegemony, traditional communities, ancient wisdom, indigenous cultures, and alternatives to the existing global (dis)order.

The contributions we are looking for are analytical articles based on evidence and consistent reasoning, not groundless speculation. We seek articles that challenge and question, not ones that seek to appease or take their own assumptions for granted. Articles that go half-way or lack rigorous reasoning will not be considered. Articles must have inserted links and sources. Arguments need to be backed up.

Our writers come from the left and the right but never from the “extreme center.” We may disagree on some issues but we are united in understanding the urgency of the moment and the need to work towards our common future without compromising on our core respective ideals. We seek a world of respective co-existence and multiple expressions, not in liberal imperialism forced on all.

The GIA relies on the integrity of our writers and on their ability to reason thoroughly, write well, have courage, and adhere to our high standards. We are looking for intelligent articles that question the status-quo, not articles that numb the reader. The ability to answer e-mails within 24 hours is a must.

We will enumerate our writers in the manner described here.

We welcome applications from qualified candidates who share our mission and can adhere to our high standards. CV’s should be sent to [email protected] with ‘GIA application’ in the headline along with two writing samples.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,

The Editor
