Lionel Baland is a Belgian patriotic writer and a former journalist. He lives in Liège, the French speaking part of Belgium. For 5 years his fields of study were the law and the journalism. He was a member of the Parti social-chrétien (P.S.C.), a center-right party, and was in the Leading Committee with the ministers of this party in 1999 as well as in the Ligue (a patriotic party).

Lionel Baland published many articles in such notable newspapers and magazines as: Ardennes magazine, Clin d'œil, La Libre Belgique-Gazette de Liège, Sud, C4. Due to his status, he got a card of press of the Association des Journalistes de la Presse Périodique. 

Lionel manages an Internet blog about the patriotic political parties in Europe. He also published a book in Paris about Jörg Haider, a long-time leader of the Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) and later Chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Austria (Bündnis Zukunft Österreich, BZÖ), a breakaway party from the FPÖ.
