Donald Trump on Putin: ‘Nobody has proven that he’s killed anyone’

What Putin says, Trump believes, or a terrific story of mutual endorsement

Jose A. DelReal in his article for The Washington Post discusses Donald Trump’s rather surprising support of Vladimir Putin.

Although after belligerent GOP debate Trump already has been attacked by other presidential candidates in regard to his anti-Muslim and pro-Putin agenda, he continued to defend Russian president against allegations that he has taken part in political journalists’ elimination.

DelReal provides a quote of Trump: “Nobody has proven that he's killed anyone. ... He's always denied it. It's never been proven that he's killed anybody. You're supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, at least in our country. It has not been proven that he's killed reporters."

Putin, in his turn, applauded Trump on his brilliant talent during a news conference. When Trump embraced those appraisals claiming that a Trump’s administration would do its best to knock out the enemy together with Russia, he immediately was criticized by other U.S. lawmakers. For example, Senator John McCain contemptuously called this alliance “made in heaven”.

“If he has killed reporters, I think that's terrible. But this isn't like somebody that's stood with a gun and he's, you know, taken the blame or he's admitted that he's killed. He's always denied it,” DelReal cites Trump’s statement on the issue.

In regard to the critics Trump received from Hillary Clinton on his anti-Muslim rhetoric, he claimed that Clinton’s words were not more than a lie; he added that absolutely no one in one’s right mind would believe her explanations regarding whichever issue. However, when asked whether he would change his language in case he has known that he was on the record, Trump announced that his harsh language indicates strength and toughness which Clinton, as opposed to him, does not own. In Trump’s opinion she is weak ant has no stamina; he added that he believes particularly this fact has intervened Clinton to come back on the stage from the break in time.

Nevertheless, Trump was granted a title of a “pathological liar” by Bernie Sanders, who said, according to DelReal’s quote: I think, and I say this straightforwardly, I think you have a pathological liar there. ... I think much of what he says are lies or gross distortion of reality. Nobody has seen a tape of thousands of people celebrating the destruction of the Twin Towers in New Jersey. It doesn't exist. And he keeps claiming it. That's called pathological lying.”
